What is the Alliance for Excellence in Online Education (A4EOE)?
We are a coalition of members from educational institutions, vendors, and corporate partners dedicated to advancing the quality of online pedagogy by continuously upgrading online educational experiences for faculty, staff, and students.
The Alliance was founded in 2002 in the early days of online learning to recognize that member institutions must all work together so that students benefit from new online degree programs relevant to the job market. By sharing individual experiences and seeking out best practices from recognized experts in this dynamic medium of education, we will succeed in advancing the experience for all constituents of online education.
We educate through many platforms, including our annual in-person Symposia.
We conduct online MicroSeminars.
We conduct an annual survey to gauge the status of online learning in southeast Michigan.
We recognize teaching and leadership excellence.
