2025 Spring Symposium
Working with Compliance and Regulations
Friday, April 4, 2025, 8AM-3PM
Oakland Community College – Auburn Hills, MI
Building G, Room G240
This one-day, in-person conference will feature online faculty and academic administration who will offer their perspectives on best practices and current topics and events in online learning.
Presentations will cover academic compliance in online courses, creating engaging course content, adopting AI, and results from the Michigan institutional tech survey. This year’s keynote presenter is Dr. Ricky LaFosse, Associate Director of Compliance and Policy at the University of Michigan’s Center for Academic Innovation, and Senior Policy Fellow at UPCEA.
Along with our wonderful presentations, attendees will have access to Oakland Community College’s Innovation Studio, a state-of-the-art multimedia studio where professional quality learning content can be created. Symposium participants are invited to use the lab to create a brief introductory video for their online course produced on-the-spot.
